There have been a number of COVID-19 outbreaks in the San Joaquin Valley, including almond and pistachio processing and walnut hulling facilities and two farms. Two deaths have occurred. OSHA is conducting inspections. Additionally, the California Attorney General has been sending letters to Ag operations, asking detailed questions about their COVID-19 preparedness.
The San Joaquin Valley outbreaks follow earlier issues among agriculture along the Central Valley.
