Rice Field Day Coming Next Week

The annual Rice Field Day will be held Wednesday, August 25, at the Rice Experiment Station in Biggs, providing growers and other interested parties a chance to see and hear about the latest information on research projects.

Registration is scheduled from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. The Field Day Program begins with general session from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., followed by field tours from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Field tours of research projects will include the latest on rice variety improvement, disease, insect, and weed control. Field day concludes with lunch at noon.

Posters covering key issues will be on display at the station grounds, including from the California Rice Commission. 

Those in attendance are eligible for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.
