New and Improved Foundation Website

New and Improved Foundation Website

We are very happy to announce that the California Ricelands Waterbird Foundation’s (Foundation) Website has been completely redesigned.

Updates to the Foundation website integrate many great new features such as a comprehensive bird photo gallery, profiles on key bird species of special concern, information on the salmon project, and our all new Bid4Birds program. The Bid4Birds program pages provide both background information and enrollment opportunities for growers interested in flooding their fields for shorebirds. A separate e-communication will be published on the program enrollment opportunity soon.

Please take some time to browse through our new and improved website during this holiday season!

Rice Levee Program – Enrollment Open

Rice Levee Program – Enrollment Open

California Waterfowl Association (CWA) is currently soliciting applications for the Rice Levee and Ag Corridors Program. This program is funded by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, through the Nesting Bird Habitat Incentive Program, which allows private landowners to submit bids for the management of their internal rice levees or road edges for upland nesting bird species (Mallard, Gadwall and Pheasant). To participate in this program, rice levees and roads must be reconstructed or mowed before January 1st or left from previous growing season. Enrolled areas must be left undisturbed until July 15th.
