More Details on This Week’s CRC Virtual Grower Meeting

This Thursday and Friday, January 21 and 22, we will provide links to this year’s California Rice Commission Virtual Grower Meeting.

Each day, a link to the video program will be sent out via our e-Communications. All presentations will be available on our CalRiceNews Website.

This year’s grower meeting will include detailed information on federal and state politics, the water outlook, trade and more. We are excited that highly-regarded policy analyst Jim Wiesemeyer of Pro Farmer will provide comments, which are especially timely considering the political change in Washington, D.C.

2025-26 CRC Board Nominations Open

Producer nominations for the 2025-26 Board elections are now open. All eligible producers should receive a letter outlining the available seats and a nomination form. The form must be returned by July 15, 2025.

Emergency Commodity Assistance Program

Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency launched the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP), providing $10 billion in economic relief to producers of eligible commodities for the 2024 crop year.
