Seeking growers interested in providing nesting habitat on ricelands
The California Ricelands Waterbird Foundation is working to expand the field testing of aerial seeding of cover crops into winter-flooded rice fields that are drawing down at the end of the flood season. These fields would provide late-season nesting opportunities for locally breeding ducks such as Mallards, Gadwalls, and Cinnamon Teals.
