Online Thiobencarb Stewardship Training is LIVE

The California Rice Commission, in partnership with the Sutter County Agricultural Commissioner’s office, has prepared an online course to administer the mandatory Thiobencarb Stewardship Training.

The course is accessed by clicking the button on the CalRiceNews.org website or you can access it here.

The course is approximately 1 hour long. A certificate of completion is provided at the end of the course and is required to add thiobencarb to your permit from your local County Agricultural Commissioner’s office prior to purchase and use.

Rice Levee, Road Edge, and Ag Corridor Program – Application Period Now Open

California Waterfowl Association (CWA) is now soliciting applications for the Rice Levee, Road Edge, and Ag Corridor Program. This program is funded by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, through the Nesting Bird Habitat Incentive Program, which pays private landowners 80 cents per linear foot for the management of their internal rice levees or road edges for upland nesting bird species (Mallard, Gadwall, and Pheasant).
